Wow, it's over, our 16 day cruise. We arrived in Fremantle at about 6am, beautiful entry into the harbour and the weather has certainly sorted us out today. It's about 34 degrees and the sun is scorching. We disembarked at about 8 and sat in the sun waiting for our bus at 9. Did the tour of Fremantle and stopped for lunch (consisting of coffee and muffin) at Kings Park. We found some shade in amongst the trees. Tour of Perth city followed and even though we have been to Perth and Fremantle a few times, it was an interesting tour with a competent tour guide!! We knew you wouldn't want anymore Perth/Freo photos so we stilled our hands with the cameras. We visited Cottelsoe Beach and wandered around the sculpture festival they had on display...looked good.
Booked into the motel at about 2 and did the laundry, walked down to the mall and decided to have an early tea then get back to the motel to sort our suitcases out. We are only allowed a carry-on bag on the train and they lodge our suitcases in the baggage car. Looks like Pam has it under control.
One thing I've noticed is the speed of the internet......on the cruise it would take over an hour to upload a photo, at the motel (with free internet) I uploaded two photos in 40 seconds.....goodbye to the 80's hello to the 20teens!!!!!
So it's 7 o'clock, we had tea at 5.30, packed our suitcases at 6.30.....not sure if we're going to make it to 8pm. Tell me I'm not turning into one of those old people!!!!

I can't tell you, you aren't turning in to one of them because I would be lying! I think you have been with them sooooo long, they have slowly infiltrated your brain and by the time you get home, you'll have a walking stick and will be singing Rock around the clock like you were there at the original time! It must have been sad to see the cruise end, those 16 days seem to have just flown. Looking forward to catching up when you get home. xxx
ReplyDeleteNot like you to lie, especially to me!! I'll be buying a walking stick before we get home so I can have an excuse to always get to the front of the line. Then I'll do what lots of them do - become suddenly cured and enjoy the best seat in the house!!! Sad to see the last of the cruise, we look forward to catching up so we can talk and talk about what we did each day, love you to put a day or two aside so you can benifit best from this information Love Pam and Vernon.
ReplyDeleteDamn I have no annual leave left for the next ten years :( may not be able to find the time, damn, damn and double damn!
