Day at sea - photos and stuff

Had a late night last night.  After tea we went into the centre area of the ship where they started up a rock and roll dance party featuring music from the 50s and 60s.  Wow you should have seen those 70 and 80 year old abandon their walking sticks, walkers and scooters!!!  They all to seem come alive and many appeared to know what they were doing on the dance floor.

I know I have been a bit disparaging about the old, frail, slow, and over weight 75 yr olds however on reflection I realised these were the people who were rocking around the clock with Bill Haley in 1955, twisting with Chuck Berry in 1962, screaming at the Beatles in 1964, swooning at the Stones in 1965 and getting high with Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock in 1969 so I suppose they might know a thing or two about life on the wild side so, I’ll try to be kinder in the future!!!!  I’m also in the position where I am moved to quote Betty O’Toole again….”As you are now so once was I; as I am now so you will be.”

So after getting to bed late we had a bit of a sleep in and spent the morning avoiding packing our bags.  We had a drink with lunch (first time these holidays!!) then faced the inevitable and sorted out our clothes for our overnight stay in Perth.

Sailed past the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse and as such crossed the line from the Great Southern Ocean to the Indian Ocean.  We received a big welcome into the Indian Ocean by a pod of about 30 dolphins putting on a very athletic display along the side of the ship. Still no sign of any swell, maybe we’ll get away with it??  Adjourned to the Champagne Lounge for pre-dinner drinks and a few tears, it appears our last two weeks have gone without us even noticing.  Damn!!!!  Guess we’ll just have to refer to the blog to confirm we really did spend the last couple of weeks at sea.

Every couple of days the room attendant would make us a little animal.......I'll let you guess what they are!!

This is the card given to us (one each of course) to buy drinks and stuff.  Pam told me we don't have to pay anything when we get it through this card....I think she lies!!!
